Pouding Chomeur Recipe

Celebrate Canada Day with this delicious and healthy version of a French Canadian dessert! "Pudding" or "Pouding", no matter how you say it, this delicious upside down caramel cake is a crowd pleaser!

Pouding Chomeur (a.k.a "Poor Man's Pudding") was created by female factory workers during the Great Depression in Quebec, Canada. Becoming popular again for decades, due to the rich maple syrup flavours gathered in the region and across Canada, this dessert is light and sweet and served with whipped cream!
